Finding the Way

Who is Jesus, and Why Does He Matter?

Introduction

At some point in your journey of faith, you will encounter the person of Jesus Christ. Some see Him as a historical figure, a great teacher, or even a myth. But who is Jesus really, and why does He matter?

This step in the journey is about discovery—looking beyond assumptions and finding out for yourself what Jesus says about life, truth, and eternity.

The Turning Point

Jesus didn’t just claim to teach truth; He claimed to be the truth (John 14:6). That statement alone is life-changing. If true, it means Jesus isn’t just a wise teacher—He’s the key to everything we’ve been searching for.

Encountering Jesus

People in the Bible met Jesus in different ways:

  • The woman at the well found living water.

  • The blind man received sight.

  • The sinner received grace instead of judgment.

Each encounter changed lives. What would an encounter with Jesus mean for you?

Next Steps

If you’re curious about Jesus, start with His words. The Gospel of John is a great place to begin. Ask God to reveal Himself as you read.

Have you encountered Jesus in a way that changed your life? Share your experience—we’d love to hear your story.
